Born: 10 June 1966, Bebington, Wirral
Married. One daughter.
Joined Liberal Democrats in January, 1998.

Reading University (1984-89) (B.A. History / Italian, M.A. European Studies)
College of Europe, Bruges (1991-92) Diploma in Advanced European Adminstration
Languages
Fluent in French, Spanish and Italian.
Career
2005-Present Spokesperson/head of press and communication for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe in the European Parliament. Coordination of European press/media activity for 100 Liberal and Democrat MEPs from 23 nationalities.
1994-2004 10 years as a policy advisor in the European Parliament.
  Since 1999, a senior policy advisor to the Liberal Democrat and Reformist Group (ELDR) in the European Parliament. Duties included responsibility for developing and furthering ELDR policy priorities on the parliamentary committees for budgetary control, economic and monetary affairs and the public enquiry into the UK foot & mouth outbreak in 2001.
Interests
Main interests are travel, SLR and digital photography, watercolour painting, keen sportsman, especially all racquet sports, swimming, jogging, scuba diving (PADI advanced diver) and sailing (RYA certified competent crew)
Vice President of the European Association of Communication Directors (www.eacd-online.eu) comprising over 800 members
Vice-chairman and founder member of European Movement, Brussels branch
Member of The National Trust since 2001.
European Parliamentary Candidate for the North West in 2004 and 2009 European elections.
